Dr. Guoyan (Emily) Yang, PhD, is an Adjunct Research Fellow in Healthy Ageing at Western Sydney University. Her research explores Tai Chi, Chinese herbal medicine, and acupuncture for chronic conditions such as cardiovascular disease, mental health, women's health, and chronic pain. With over 80 published studies and expertise in clinical trials and systematic reviews, she bridges traditional therapies with modern evidence-based practice. Emily received Tai Chi training for eight years at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and continues advanced training in China annually. As President of the Boyuan Tai Chi for Health Association and a committee member of the Tai Chi Association of Australia, she brings nearly 20 years of teaching experience to her community and clinic work. Emily holds the ICCPR Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Foundation Certificate and actively promotes community health and wellbeing through accessible, holistic, and evidence-based care.

Please note, Dr Yang operates her own medical services business at Next Practice Parramatta and other locations. All correspondence should be directed to the individual practitioner themselves via the Next Practice Parramatta email parramatta@nextpracticehealth.com.
